This song was written by Donald Fagen and Walter Becker (and destroyed by Moot Booxle).
Recorded at Sound Check Studios in Fort Myers, FL - one of the oldest one-owner studios in the world! It has been operated by the same owner in the same location since 1977. It's pretty much still 1977 in here except we use Logic Pro for most recordings now.
These drums are early 80s Tama Rockstar; the snare is a very old Pearl (not sure the year exactly). The heads on the toms are Evans EC2 coated; the botto...

Funky music touches my soul and lifts my mood. This Mac DeMarco @macdemarco track gives me LIFE! So I tried to see how closely I could mimic the sounds and grooves using only software - while I should have been working on other studio projects! I haven't had so much fun goofing around in the studio in a good while!

I’ve always loved this guitar piece composed by Steve Hackett. It sounds pretty different on my little guitalele! It’s tuned a 4th higher than a standard guitar. This wasn’t a flawless performance but I’m no classical player!

This is a little jam I made on the BARP 2600 and Boss RC-202 looper. The Yamaha CBX-K2 is the controller. The Yamaha MT8XII is working as a mixer in this case. Adding a suboctave from STG’s . com module. Recorded with Tascam DR-40X! Just some fun Eb Myxolydian jamming to brighten your day!

The #STGSoundlabs Radiophonic Two synthesizer makes a great companion to the #BARP2600. Here it is supplying a sequence via the Korg SQ-1 while I noodle about on the BARP. Found today for 20 euro with stand and og adapter. Nice reggae/library feel.
I bought the deluxe edition three CD set of the classic John Foxx Metamatic album a while back, and was delighted to find in the booklet, photocopies of some of J Foxxs original patch setups. There was the settings for some of the sounds used on Underpass amongst others. I tried them out on my Odyssey and they sounded superb.

A hit record in there in this jam , then the usual question is who is gonna sing ? I never thought a synth set up would sound this good on bass guitar. Its top notch
@@mikebassy ah thanks for listening Mike! I chose to play fretless on this because I wanted to show how well it tracks subtle pitch changes. It’s a bit fiddly to get the settings just right for the instrument, and then adjust the technique to keep it consistent…but once you get it in the zone, it triggers incredibly fast! I had forgotten about this video, haha!

Wow. May i say that i adore how you give these instruments the place they deserve? Because that's what they are. All of them make make unique sounds and that's how they should be treated. As the wonderful sound making things that they are, not measured by how well they are made or if they are worth their weight in gold.
